European verbena is a native perennial herb that has historically been prized for good reason. While it's not showy, this easy-to-grow plant is easy to start from seed and blooms from early summer to early fall. It has historically been used to treat everything from snake bites to tumors, but many of these uses are now considered outdated. It is believed that this plant was used to stop bleeding when Jesus Christ was crucified.
