Trichloroisocyanuric acid is an organic compound with the chemical formula (C3Cl3N3O3). Used as industrial disinfectants, bleaches and organic synthesis reagents. This white crystalline powder has a strong "chlorine smell" and is sometimes sold in tablet or granular form for household and industrial use.

physical description
Trichloroisocyanuric acid is obtained by reacting cyanuric acid with chlorine gas and sodium cyanurate.
Trichloro-s-triazintrione is a white slightly hygroscopic crystalline powder or block solid when dry, with a mild chlorine-like odor. It is said to have 85% available chlorine. Decomposes at 225°C. Moderately toxic if swallowed. May cause skin and eye irritation. The active ingredient in household dry bleach. Used as a disinfectant in swimming pools.
application
The compound is a disinfectant, algicide and bactericide used primarily in swimming pools and dyes, and is also used as a bleach in the textile industry. It is widely used in public health in pools and spas, animal husbandry and fishery disease prevention and control, fruit and vegetable preservation, wastewater treatment, industry, algaecide for air-conditioning circulating water, wool shrinkage treatment, seed treatment and organic chemical synthesis. It is used in chemical synthesis as a source of chlorine gas that is easy to store and transport. It is not restricted by hazardous gas transportation and reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce relatively pure chlorine gas.
Trichloroisocyanuric acid used in swimming pools is easier to dispose of than chlorine. It dissolves slowly in water, but when it reacts, the concentration of cyanuric acid in the pool will increase.
