How is aloe vera drink made?
Aloe vera drinks are usually made from the internal gel, which is the clear, thin gel-like substance scooped out of the center of the aloe vera leaf. The inner aloe vera gel differs in consumption from the whole leaf, as the pure gel is part of the plant and is completely safe and edible. It has almost no aloin (anthraquinone glycoside), which has been the focus of research. Too much aloin from any source can cause diarrhea, enteritis, and dehydration.

How much do you drink every day?

Aloe vera juice/extract

Because of its high concentration, a rule of thumb for aloe vera extract is usually 2 ounces twice. daily (4 ounces total daily).

Aloe vera water

There is no limit to how much aloe vera water you can drink, but to enjoy the full benefits of aloe vera, you should consume at least a full bottle (16 ounces per day). Recommended daily dose: 16 oz.
Raw aloe vera
If you have your own plant, you may choose to eat raw aloe vera that you harvest yourself. If you do this, be sure to avoid eating any part of the outer leaves, as the outer leaves contain potentially dangerous aloe vera that can cause unwanted side effects. No matter what you eat, take it directly or mix it into other foods/drinks, and take about 2 ounces of endogel daily for maximum effectiveness. Recommended daily dose: 2 ounces.
