Grilled Salmon Steak Ingredients List

  • 2 thick salmon steaks
  • vegetable oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • lime juice, to taste

Yogurt Cilantro Sauce

  • 1 cup (250 ml) Greek yogurt
  • Zest of 1 lime + juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1 handful fresh cilantro, chopped
  • salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes or chili powder (optional)

Sauce

Combine yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, fresh cilantro, salt and pepper.

  1. Taste the sauce and season or adjust flavors as needed. More lemon, more cilantro, more pepper... adjust until you want to eat it by the spoonful!

1. Heat a pan or frying pan over medium heat. Brush both sides of salmon steaks with oil; sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper. If you don't want it, you can remove the skin.

  1. Grill salmon until golden brown and cooked through in center, 4 to 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and drizzle with lemon juice. Spoon the cilantro sauce over the salmon steaks and sprinkle with pepper or other seasonings if desired. Serve immediately with lime wedges.
