Grilled Salmon Steak Ingredients List
salmon
- 2 thick salmon steaks
- vegetable oil
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- lime juice, to taste
Yogurt Cilantro Sauce
- 1 cup (250 ml) Greek yogurt
- Zest of 1 lime + juice of 1/2 lime
- 1 handful fresh cilantro, chopped
- salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- Red pepper flakes or chili powder (optional)
Sauce
1. Combine yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, fresh cilantro, salt and pepper.
- Taste the sauce and season or adjust flavors as needed. More lemon, more cilantro, more pepper... adjust until you want to eat it by the spoonful!

1. Heat a pan or frying pan over medium heat. Brush both sides of salmon steaks with oil; sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper. If you don't want it, you can remove the skin.
- Grill salmon until golden brown and cooked through in center, 4 to 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and drizzle with lemon juice. Spoon the cilantro sauce over the salmon steaks and sprinkle with pepper or other seasonings if desired. Serve immediately with lime wedges.
